What is an ascendant/rising?  In an astrology chart, the ascendant also known as rising sign is the personality of the person. It’s the way a person is perceived by others.  It’s the mask put on and shows to the world. You may call it a filter.  For example, on Instagram you have an option to put a filter on your pictures.  The picture would be you (your sun) and the filter would be your mask; personality (your ascendant). Sometimes it’s shown through your physical appearance.  My ascendant in my natal chart is Gemini Rising 29 degrees 55 mins.  Quite often, I am put as a Cancer Rising. I can understand why its push to the next sign since I’m a hop, skip and a jump away from Cancer.  However, this confuses me because I’ve never identified with Cancer. In recent celebrity news, Amber Rose is filing for divorce from rapper Wiz Khalifa. The alleged reason for filing a divorce is that he cheated on her. I’m not sure how she found out or all the details about it.   What I do know is that she’s had enough. When someone files for a divorce, they are done and there’s looking back.    Some people when they find out that their partner is cheating on them, they either look the other way or end the relationship. I don't know what's right or wrong however I do believe you have to do what's best for you in the long run. Here is a little scenario: A woman hires a Private Investigator ("PI") to follow her husband around for several months because said woman has a feeling that her husband is cheating on her. Months go by and the PI continues to collect and give information to the woman. The woman ends up not doing anything with the information. The husband continues to cheat on her and she’s miserable.   ...

These are the Kanye West lyrics that flow out of my computer's speakers and gets me thinking about what are my goals, dreams and aspirations.  I certainly can say that my goals, dreams, aspirations, etc. have changed so much within the last 2 years. I have gone from not wanting to purchase a house to wanting to purchase a house, from continuing to work in the legal field to wanting to enter different fields (yes not one field but several fields). I really want to spread my wings and fly. I want to reach everything I set my mind to.  I just have to put effort and hard work.  Here are some of the projects I'm currently working on: 1. Purchasing a house: I started saving money. This is the hardest thing to do since bills need to paid and I like to live very comfortably . However, since I want to purchase a house, living comfortably has been put on hold. I'm giving up a comfortable life for a great life. So, I t...

At the end of June, some of my friends and I went on a cruise to Grand Cayman.  The cruise was supposed to be an Alpha Phi Reunion however some of my sisters couldn't make it. The show continued.  The cruise was for 5 days and 4 nights.  On the first day, I couldn't relax.  I was worried about some deadlines at work. Yes I know, I shouldn't be worried about work but hey, I can't help it. The second day was better and got to relax a bit. We went to Key West and did a few tourist things. We went to the Little White House and I learn some new things about  President Harry S. Truman   Here we are having a laugh with President Harry S. Truman. Third day, we were out to sea so we got to enjoy all of the ship's activities like rock climbing.  I've never done rock climbing before and let me tell you it's hard. I have strong legs but no upper body strength.  I didn't make it to the top but there's always next time. Fourth day, we got to...

This video took me about a year to complete!!!!!! The reason it took me soooooo long is because I put huge amounts of pressure on myself to meet my extremely high expectations. As I worked on the video, I kept on questioning myself on my creation and would it be good enough to make public?  The questioning continued EVERY time I would work on the video.  After numerous edits, I realize that the reason I do these videos is for me and my enjoyment. So that one day I can look back and enjoy them, laugh and re-visit those moments that may or may not have faded away.  And if people like my video then it's icing on the cake.  As of right now, I am happy with the end result and look forward on working on other videos and projects.

The video is about my friends and I volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.  We volunteering for 2 hours packing food for children it felt like the time went by flying. In this video we hit the 1 million mark.  I believe the goal for the entire weekend was 2 million to feed the children and it was reached on Sunday.  I had fun at the event and had more fun editing the video.  I hope you enjoy watching the video.

Goodbye 2012... Welcome 2013... Out with the old, in with the new! On the last Friday night of 2012, my friends and I decided to let our hair and let loose. The first stop of the night was at Martini Bar at Gulfstream, the second stop was at Brickell Irish Pub, and the last stop of the night was at La Moon for a quick late night snack. I recently had Christmas Dinner with my friends. We had dinner at this place called MC Kitchen in the Design District, Miami, Florida.  At dinner, we did secret santa exchange and catch up with the different events in our life.  We even did some planning for our next trip in 2013.  It looks like we may be going to DR and Vegas.  Can't wait for 2013!
