Colombian Festival



Hello Darlings! Back again with a new little video.  This video is about the Colombian Independence Festival we (my cousin, Roxy, and I ) went to back in July 21, 2013 at Sun Life Stadium.  Some of my other family members went but some reason they didn't come out on the vlog.  I also included some highlights from the Carlos Vives Concert in the video too.



Anywho, the Festival was an open air all day and night party. Some of the artists that were playing at the Festival were Jorge Celedon, Grupo Niche, Fonseca, Silvestre Dangond, and Plan B.  I was disappointed that I didn't get to see Grupo Niche but I did get to see Fonseca and Silvestre Dangond.  They were phenomenal.  Fonseca got the crowd to sing back to him. Silvestre Dangond was very lively.  He's definitely got some pipes on him. This was definitely a highlight for me that day; were watching Fonseca and Silvestre Dangond sing.

 Also, there was a soccer match inside Sun Life Stadium between Millonarios Futbol Club and Club Deportivo Olimpia.  I think Millonaries won but I'm not sure because my cousin and I didn't have an interest to watch the soccer game. 

 The low point of the festival for me was when we got to the stadium, the music that they were playing on the main stage was not vallenato or cumbia.  I don't remember what kind of music they were playing.  All I remember was that I was extremely pissed because if I go to a COLOMBIAN FESTIVAL I expect to hear COLOMBIAN MUSIC and not Cuban Musica or Jamaican Music.

 Lastly, the food!  They had all types of Colombian food. From the classic empanadas to picadas. The food smelled and tasted delicious.  I wish I could have tasted more food but the lines were extremely long and at the end of day all I wanted to do was listen to vallenatos and remember my mom and enjoy remembering recollections of the past; of when my family use together for family dinners, dance, and have a good time.

 Next year, I hope to attend the Festival and I will be definitely wearing my mom's colors: Red, Blue and Yellow. :)

Cruise to Grand Cayman

At the end of June, some of my friends and I went on a cruise to Grand Cayman.  The cruise was supposed to be an Alpha Phi Reunion however some of my sisters couldn't make it. The show continued.  The cruise was for 5 days and 4 nights.  On the first day, I couldn't relax.  I was worried about some deadlines at work. Yes I know, I shouldn't be worried about work but hey, I can't help it. The second day was better and got to relax a bit. We went to Key West and did a few tourist things. We went to the Little White House and I learn some new things about  President Harry S. Truman   Here we are having a laugh with President Harry S. Truman. Third day, we were out to sea so we got to enjoy all of the ship's activities like rock climbing.  I've never done rock climbing before and let me tell you it's hard. The Hangover Cruise

I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise in July 2012 with some on my friends.  We had a blast!  The first night we can't remember but there was drinking involved. LOTS OF IT! For some reason we really didn't take any pictures the first night on the cruise.  Second day we went to Coco Cay and laid out on the beach and relax. Some of us tried to cure our hangovers by sleeping on the beach or drinking Coco Loco drinks. Third Day we went to Nassau. Rented scooters and rode around the entire island.  Later we went to Atlantis Hotel and walked around the hotel. Such a beautiful day but eventually we have to return back to the boat.  That night my friends entire a game of find the most items. My friends' team came in 2nd place I think.  We truly had a blast!  Can't wait to go on the next cruise! I hope you enjoy the video!!!!
