Flashback Friday way back to when I went to NYC




Today is Flashback Friday and I would like to share a time when I went to NYC to help my friend celebrate her birthday a long time ago. We celebrated her birthday at Copacabana. and danced the night away. We had an awesome time! Totally unforgettable trip with my friends.  

Every time I go to NYC, I try to see something I hadn't see before.  That time around I got to see the Brooklyn Bridge, 10 Below, World Trade Center, and The High Line.  The Brooklyn Bridge is so beautiful.  It's a great place to take beautiful photography. 

I had rolled up ice cream at 10 Below. 10 Below is the best ice cream in NYC. I had the Cookie Monster which is vanilla ice cream with Oreo cookies (I love Oreos).  You have to check this place out. They build the ice cream up by the liquid vanilla cream on super cold plates. Then they add the oreo cookies and chop it up. They work the liquid and the chopped oreo cookies until it in a solid form. Once in solid form, they spread it out and then rolled them up in rolls.

I saw the new World Trade Center. I am amazed how much they have rebuild. Even though there is new building and structure standing at the Twin Tower area, I will never forget the victims and heroes of 9/11. 

Lastly, I finally got to see the High Line. This place is beautiful and creative place. I love that they have incorporated flowers, plants, and lounge chairs for people relax. I also got to see some interesting art work on the High Line. I saw a naked statue and I thought it was a real person. It looked so life like. It was incredible to see such artwork.

I hope I get to travel with my friends again. I had a fantastic time with them.

Cruise to Grand Cayman

At the end of June, some of my friends and I went on a cruise to Grand Cayman.  The cruise was supposed to be an Alpha Phi Reunion however some of my sisters couldn't make it. The show continued.  The cruise was for 5 days and 4 nights.  On the first day, I couldn't relax.  I was worried about some deadlines at work. Yes I know, I shouldn't be worried about work but hey, I can't help it. The second day was better and got to relax a bit. We went to Key West and did a few tourist things. We went to the Little White House and I learn some new things about  President Harry S. Truman   Here we are having a laugh with President Harry S. Truman. Third day, we were out to sea so we got to enjoy all of the ship's activities like rock climbing.  I've never done rock climbing before and let me tell you it's hard. The Hangover Cruise

I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise in July 2012 with some on my friends.  We had a blast!  The first night we can't remember but there was drinking involved. LOTS OF IT! For some reason we really didn't take any pictures the first night on the cruise.  Second day we went to Coco Cay and laid out on the beach and relax. Some of us tried to cure our hangovers by sleeping on the beach or drinking Coco Loco drinks. Third Day we went to Nassau. Rented scooters and rode around the entire island.  Later we went to Atlantis Hotel and walked around the hotel. Such a beautiful day but eventually we have to return back to the boat.  That night my friends entire a game of find the most items. My friends' team came in 2nd place I think.  We truly had a blast!  Can't wait to go on the next cruise! I hope you enjoy the video!!!!
